Used cars are the new ‘flavor’ of the season. The concept of used cars is kicking in, in the Western World. The UK and continental Europe is going crazy over second hand cars. Many analysts don’t have a clue of the origins of this new trend. The answer my friend, is not really very hard to understand. The recession is upon us, especially in the God’s beloved Kingdom, The United Kingdom. Used cars from renowned companies are selling as they never did in the U.K. British consumers are cashing in the ‘discounts’ given by the Auto majors this year. They realize it well that as soon as the recession gets over, the cost of their favorite used cars is going to plummet.

Why spend your precious Pounds or Euros in buying a new car, when you can avail a range of second hand cars at nearly half that price. Imagine the same car, the same comfort, but half the price. The concept of ‘second hand cars’ is here to stay!

Used Cars are the perfect gifts to give your children when they plan to go to college or high school. Used cars have the same engines and features, and your kids would love you to buy it.

The holiday season of Christmas is coming around, and it’s the best time to buy second hand cars. Sellers offer huge discounts to attract buyers, a factor that should work in your favor. Buying two second hand cars is almost like buying a new one! Second hand cars also take care of the environment, by not polluting any higher than their ‘new’ counterparts.

So what are you waiting for? Second hand cars are in, and the fashion is here to stay!

Steve Libby is an author of Used Car Showroom UK an online automotive search engine to find new cars, used cars, used car dealers, new car dealers, used cars for sale, second hand cars in the UK.

Recently many people have asked me about buying used cars online. When Ebay or Yahoo auctions are there why one should go for local dealers is a 64M$ question.

Used car business has been here since the start of auto industry. Japan started mass production of automotives for private as well as commercial use between 1940-1950, but the actual history is much older since 1911. Used Japanese cars became popular in late 1970’s when Toyota and Nissan emerged as global leaders in the car making industry. There have been constant demand since then, because compactness and fuel efficiency were the major factors for the popularity in Japanese cars.

In early 70’s Japanese cars appeared on the roads outside of Japan. Did you not see a toy-looking small bluebird parked beside your family’s Chevy or Buick, what a funny sight was that. But now these Japanese manufacturers putting greatest efforts in becoming the legend and preferring customers’ needs on top of everything. This is purely Japanese tradition and proved great results in open market. Now Honda, Subaru, Suzuki, Hino, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Daihatsu are biggest names in automobile manufacturers of the world. Infact these names are the soul names for best value your money can guarantee.

Japan is now leader in the technology of internal combustion engines, and growing more faster to Hybrid vehicles. These hybrid vehicles are now very popular and are even used as taxies. A Hybrid vehicle has both powers, an internal combustion engine + batteries which are supposedly used in idling and when the car does not require mush power. Not contented with hybrids, Japanese makers have rapidly shifted their attention towards more eco friendly cars with 0% CO2 emission. Nissan will launch their first Electric vehicle from 2010 autumn, with 50,000 units from USA & Japan. Mazda is also busy in making hydro powered engines, which will run on water.

Did you ever imagine that maybe after 10years internal combustion engine cars may disappear from our roads and who knows that after 20years one will see them in classic car showrooms or museums? Well nothing is for sure these days, it’s a wild race getting wilder with the passage of time.

Used Japanese cars are available in every corner of the world but majority of the customers are always interested in JDM (Japan Domestic Models). For some poor countries this huge influx of cheap Japanese used cars have ruined their infra-structure, and to great astonishment some countries even Russia have imposed severe bans on imports of used cars from Japan. The growing demand for Japan Domestic Model Used Cars is ever increasing, and truly speaking it has uplifted and upgraded the status of many from around the world.

Many businesses will have the need for a commercial goods vehicle such as a van. The business may be so successful and in demand that one van may not cut it and a whole fleet will be required. Whether it’s for delivery services like couriers or a mobile tool shed like a plumber’s van then vans clearly have advantages over smaller vehicles such as a car.

Cars are often too small, even the larger SUV or 4×4 have limited space for commercial use. A van can often be the best choice as many businesses will need tools and equipment when visiting a customer’s house, rather than having to drive all the way back to your business headquarters they can carry the required equipment inside the van, saving both time and money on transport costs.

Buying commercial vehicles though can be incredibly expensive as many vans and Lorries can cost much more than cars. The main deciding factor in choosing a van is its size and for some businesses they need larger or taller vehicles to accommodate their load and so can be expected to pay more.

Buying online though can save you money because you can then browse the new and used markets at the same time, once you’ve seen a vehicle that suits your needs and is in good condition then you can arrange to view the vehicle. Viewing a van is just like viewing a car; you need to check the van over to see if there’s any obvious problems and getting a better idea of the van’s capabilities such as storage room.

It shouldn’t be a problem for most sellers to allow you to test drive the vehicle, if possible ask if you could load the vehicle with some heavy goods to simulate what it will be like when you use it for your business. This way you should be able to spot any issues with the suspension and brakes which are very important for larger, heavier vehicles.

Whilst they are replaced, Tyres are another factor key to vans, even more so than regular cars due to the added weight and strain being put upon them. Any clear weaknesses and problems such as the tread being very thin are points to raise with the seller and you could even negotiate the price down if you are going to have to get them replaced.

Many people will be familiar with buying cars and buying a van for your business is very similar. As long as you take your time to see a few vehicles and have an idea of the size and capacity that your business needs then you should find a van that’s right for you.

If you are looking for used cars you should be careful to check any car you are interested in and ask at many car dealers to get the best deal for your money.
