Motorcycle helmets are an essential piece for riding gear. They protect your noggin from some pretty serious head injuries, when you take a nasty fall. The problem is, they can be pretty pricey sometimes, and for these poor economic times were in, it can sometimes break your wallet getting a new lid. But never fear, because I’m going to reveal to you the best places to get cheap motorcycle helmets.
Closeout sales are awesome, because you can get all the old seasons gear for super cheap. I got a whole fox racing set up for under $200. I’m talking jersey, gloves, boots, pants, and helmet. That would easily cost you upwards of $400 – $500 brand new! You can find a lot of closeout motorcycle helmets from various brands like. Arai, Shoei, HJC, Hawk, Outlaw, etc… for sometimes up to 75% off! Yeah it might be last season’s gear, but who cares, because your sporting all new gear for a fraction of the cost.
2nd Hand
This one is a lil bit trickier because you really have to search till you find a god cheap motorcycle helmet. You can find a lot of decent gear in classifieds, yard sales, garage sales, and thrift stores if you know where to look. Now obviously this depends a lil more on the area you live in, on whether or not you’ll find anything. Someone living in a town of 40 people in the middle of no-where probably won’t have the best of luck. However if you live in a bigger city like Los Angeles for example, then you stand a greater chance of finding something.
The problem is, your selection is very limited. You can’t really be picky about sizing or color, because what you see is what you get, but don’t be dismayed. I actually found a practically new Shoei helmet that fit perfectly for $100, and it cost upwards of $400 brand new. Try finding that kind of deal, anywhere.
So there you have it my friend, the two places you can find really cheap motorcycle helmets. Hopefully you find what your looking for and save a few ducats in the process. Safe Riding!
